Stains and stubborn or sticky spots to your garment can arise in the course of life's spills and thrills. These care instructions will help you target stains with spot cleaning tips and get at gum and sap spots with a surprising trick with ice-cubes and butter knives.
STAINS
STEP 1
SPOT CLEAN
Dampen stain.
Spot clean stain using diluted technical detergent.
We recommend 1 part Nu Technical Detergent diluted with 3 parts water.
(Alternatively, a dilution of dishwashing detergent can also be used.)
STEP 2
PROCEED TO WASH
Clean entire garment in warm water, using detergent. (We recommend Nu Technical Detergent.)
GUM AND SAP
STEP 1
FREEZE AND SCRAPE
Freeze the sticky substance with ice.
Using a dull butter knife, scrape away as much as you can.
STEP 2
SOAK
Soak the garment in a 1 part water : 1 part white vinegar solution.
Wash either in warm water with mild detergent or with a technical cleaner. (We recommend Nu Technical Detergent.)
